Welcome to Heather Bee's Buzz

Who is Heather "Bee" and what's "the Buzz"? Well, Heather "Bee" is me, Heather Bennett, and as long as I can remember someone has called me "Heather Bee". My mom used to even draw a little bumble bee on my lunch bag so everyone would know it was mine. It just seemed to stick and became helpful when in college my closest friends needed to differentiate between myself and another "Heather" who was also a good friend. So, here I am, 37 years old and still responding to "Heather Bee".

As for the buzz, well the Bennett family is always buzzing. This site is a place where you can find out what's going on in our lives. But more than that, I hope this site will be a place where you can find what's been buzzing in my head and my heart as I study God's Word. You see, besides God and my family, my greatest passion is for scripture. I love to dig in and find greater understanding and truths to apply to my life. I then find that I'm not satisfied to keep it to myself. I just love to share it with whoever will listen. Just ask my husband. I can't tell you how many times he's had to hear a "whoop" from my office, only to be followed by an overly excited wife coming out to ask him, "You want to hear something cool?!" I suppose, he's probably excited too, since my joy cost him absolutely no money. Face it; a lot of ladies only get that excited after a costly shopping spree. But isn't that what God's Word should do? Thrill us? It is God's Word, living, breathing, and speaking directly to you and me. If there is anything I love as much as getting excited about God's Word myself, it is watching someone else get excited about it. I love it when the light goes on and a nugget of truth, once hidden, is discovered.

In Psalm 119:103, the Psalmist wrote of God's Word, "How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!" Now, ask anyone in my house, I have a sweet tooth! I don't think any person, besides my sweet daughter, could have a greater love for sweets than I do. So maybe that's why I love to delve into scripture. God's Word is sweet to my soul! And that is my prayer for you. That you too would find God's word sweet, satisfying and sustaining to your soul. I pray that each word written here would point its reader to God and his Holy Scripture. May you have a greater love and understanding of the sweetest words ever written!
